Series Projecte 10 : Cultura i RegióDetalles de publicación: Strasbourg : Council of Europe, 1988Descripción: 15 pResumen: The aims of the seminar were thus to meet "the expectations of regions themselves", but also of states, "which want to know about regions' distinctive cultural features", and of the Council of Europe, "which aims to promote the cultural role of regions, knowledge of their initiatives and co-operation between them". It was in this spirit that Rene Rizzardo pin-pointed five objectives for the seminar: • To clarify the definition of evaluation and the conditions for implementing it in the case of cultural policies; • To specify the distinctive features of regional cultural policies and their functions; • To form a clearer picture of the aspirations which underlie the need for evaluation and of the objectives which can be assigned to it; • To propose evaluation methods and procedures for regions; • To contribute to the comparative study of European regions' cultural policies by analysing the indicators used for identifying and comparing them.
