The goal is to provide a live analysis that can be used to embed new financial mechanisms for the cultural sector within local economic priorities and to inform regional, national and European policy. This report specifically aims to briefly describe the current situation in the cultural sector in Greece and the funding mechanisms in the public and private sectors available in Greece and via the European Commission. It will also introduce the reader to the organisation Maladie d'Amour Theatre of Arts, and outline the steps it will take to establish a film office in Larissa (Central Greece) and subsequent satellite offices with the support of the Banking on Culture project. It will also prove that in the long term a venture of this nature can be sustainable and profitable.
