Summary: The public library is changing radically both in terms of services and buildings, from product-orientated to user-orientated. Developments in information technology and user habits, new media formats and cultural experiences call for a transformation of the library concept and building. But how do we meet the many new demands and expectations? And how do we create a successful library building? With LIBRARY SPACE the Danish Library Association wants to stimulate a rethinking of library layout and construction.
