| Resumen |
This is the fifth and final issue of synopses of projects supported by the European Commission's libraries programme under the third framework programme for Community research and technological development, 1990-94.<br/>Libraries was one for the seven distinct areas covered by the specific R & TD programme ‘Telematics systems in areas of general interest' initiative.<br/>The synopses cover 13 selected projects from the first call for proposals issued in July 1991, 16 projects resulting from the second call for proposals in October 1992 and 22 from the third call in November 1993. In addition, there are three synopses covering concerted actions.<br/>The projects were derived from the libraries work programme, as described in its technical background document, and follow its action lines and themes. (…)<br/>The concerted actions are part of specific accompanying measures studies, conferences/workshops, professional exchanges, etc. provided to generate consensus, disseminate project results, offer targeted support for the preparation of projects under the action lines and generally contribute to modernizing the skills of the library workforce.
