This book represents an interesting and up-to-date review of benchmarks for the implementation of contemporary information and communication technologies in the field of cultural tourism. It is based on a specific, combined research methodology which represents a particularly successful attempt to use a benchmarking methodological approach in the field of cultural tourism. This will be of great benefit for the wider region of Southeast Europe and for individuals and institutions involved in the creation of national cultural and information society policies (especially as part of cultural entrepreneurship incentives), as well as for the wider scientific and expert public. <br/>The results of this pioneering research in the geographical area of Southeast Europe present a series of useful information guidelines for strategic policies relating to culture, economic and information and communication Technology for the countries involved. The presented data are also a valuable contribution to the dissemination and understanding of international efforts to use the opportunities of virtual information technologies for the benefit of the public as well as for economic development.
