| NOTA DE RESUMEN | This paper has been drafted following a meeting held at the Arts Council of England in September 2000 and attended by representatives of a number of organisations involved in developing indicators for the arts and cultural sectors. The purpose of the meeting was to begin a discussion about the nature and compatibility of the various initiatives currently in train, with the longer term aim of minimising the inevitable burden for everyone. Those present felt that it would be helpful for all involved to share documented thinking and consider their existing practice in more detail.
