The Commission contracted ECORYS to carry out an analysis on these prizes, in particular as regards to their impact from various angles (on the winners, on the sectors in which each prize operates, on the audiences and on the wider European social and economic landscape), as well as regarding their prestige and outreach. In order to have a comprehensive overview, the analysis was conducted at different levels (EU, sectorial, individual and general public) through qualitative and quantitative research, including interviews with key stakeholders.
