Series: Informes/Estudis ; CLT-83/10-EPublication details: Paris : Unesco, 1983Description: 9 pSummary: This document is the result of work carried out during the last ten years by ICCB with the support of the International Centre of Films for Children and Young People, in addition to carrying out research of a general nature, ICCB compiled dossiers based on detailed, and often repeated, interviews of individuals. Those interviewed were: forty-one adult specialists or professionals from twelve different countries (producers, scriptwriters, lawyers, doctors, educators, media professionals, etc.) ; eighty-five children (fifty-nine boys and twenty-six girls) and seventeen adults (former 'child artists') from fourteen countries (Canada, France, Federal Republic of Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States of America, Venezuela). Unfortunately, the African continent is not included in the list. The merit of this study is inextricably bound up with its weakness: each interview was carried out in an atmosphere of trust resulting from a personalized approach, The interests and needs of the children were taken into account and the survey therefore does not claim to constitute a scientific sampling.
