Resumen: Media, Culture & Society provides a major international, peer-reviewed forum for the presentation of research and discussion concerning the media, including the newer information and communication technologies, within their political, economic, cultural and historical contexts. It regularly engages with a wider range of issues in cultural and social analysis. Its focus is on substantive topics and on critique and innovation in theory and method. An interdisciplinary journal, it welcomes contributions in any relevant areas and from a worldwide authorship. Crosscurrents is a dialogic space within Media, Culture & Society for debate, critique and reflection on current issues in media and communications research and aims to stimulate discussion around emerging questions, trends, themes and concepts in the field. This involves providing an arena for critical engagement with theoretical and empirical developments and trajectories in research on media and its social, political economic and cultural contexts.
